As long as the emails have Unsubscribe link, you can opt-out of those emails but many of them trick you by not providing any option to unsubscribe.
In that case, those emails will continue to bug your email account. So, this tutorial includes, how to auto delete those unwanted emails from a person or source from your Gmail account.
Unlike many other email clients, Gmail doesn't offer "Block" feature to block those emails. However, the "filter" feature is available at Gmail to do the trick. So today, we’ll create a Filter that will automatically delete annoying emails from unwanted person/source.
Steps to Auto Delete Certain Emails in Gmail:
Step 1: Figure out the annoying email address which is bugging you and Copy it.
Step 2: Click on "gear-shaped" icon which is located on right-hand side and choose the "Settings" option.
Step 3: From settings, navigate to the "Filters" tab.
Step 4: Now click on "Create a new Filter".
Step 5: At the "From" field, paste the person/service’s email address. If you want to auto-delete only those emails from the source which contains, lets say “!@#$%” word, you can do this by specifying the word at field "Has the words". More options like "Doesn't have", can be used to filter out more specific emails.
Step 6: Now, click on "Next Step".
Step 7: Choose "Delete it" option from the menu and click on "Create Filter" option. You can also specify different options like Apply labels, Archive them, Star them, Mark as spam, etc.
You are done!
You’ll notice that the message isn’t permanently deleted, as it will sit in the trash for 30 days until it empties automatically.
