A Facebook page is a public profile created by businesses, organizations, celebrities and anyone seeking to promote themselves publicly through social media.

Facebook pages work much like personal profile pages, except that they have "fans" instead of "friends." These pages are publicly visible online and often post status updates, links, events, photos and videos to their fans' news feeds and walls.

Facebook pages can also be highly customized to alert fans about upcoming events. Apps can also be added to increase a Facebook page's functionality, allowing it to connect to an RSS feed or relevant YouTube videos.

If you are a newbie page admin then you may be having some problem regarding the page functioning. So, here are some frequently asked questions regarding facebook page:

1. Who can create a Page?

Everyone can create a Facebook Page. The Page creator can also add other admins to help them manage the Page. Each Page admin will be able to update and edit their Pages from their own accounts.

2. How to use Facebook as a Page?

To use Facebook as the Page you manage:

• From the top of your Profile, click on Drop Down menu.
• Select Use Facebook as [Page name].

All actions that you take while using Facebook as your Page will appear on Facebook as coming from your Page. For example, news Feed will show updates from other Pages you or other admins have liked while using Facebook as your Page and Your notifications will be about activity on your Page, not your personal timeline.

To go back to using Facebook as yourself, repeat the instructions above and select Use Facebook as [your name].

3. What's the admin panel on Facebook Page?

The admin panel is a place where you can quickly see how your Page is performing. From your admin panel, you can:

• View Page notifications
• Respond to messages
• View your Page Insights
• Invite friends
• View new likes

Non-admins who visit your Page won't see the admin panel. It's only visible to Page admins.

4. What is the Publishing Tools on Facebook Page?

Publishing Tools let you review the history of your Page and change the settings of individual posts. Only Page admins can see the publishing tools. From your Page's publishing tools you can:

• See all your Page's stories, organized by date.

5. How to change a Page's category?

To change the category of your Page:

• Click on About tab.
• Edit Category.
• Use the dropdown menus to select a category and sub-category for your Page.
• Click Save Changes.

There's no limit to the number of times you can change the category of your Page.

6. How to change Page name?

Only admins who are Managers or Content Creators can change the name of a Page, you can change the name from Page settings:

• Click on About tab.
• Click Edit on the right of the Name field and enter a new name.
• Click Save Changes.

Changing your Page's name will not affect its username or Page address.

7. How to feature other Pages on Page?

Your Page can like other Pages, and you can feature those in a box on your Page's timeline. To feature a Page:

• Use Facebook as your Page.
• Visit the Page you want to feature and click Like.
• Return to your Page and click Settings  at the top.
• Select Featured.
• Click Add Featured Likes.
• Choose Pages you’d like to feature and click Save.

8. Why should register a username for Facebook Page?

You can customize your Page web address by selecting a unique username. It will appear in the location bar of your browser after "https://www.facebook.com/" when you view your Page (ex: https://www.facebook.com/webaddress).

9. How to get a username for Page?

If you manage a Facebook Page, you can choose a username for it just like someone selecting a username for their timeline. You can choose a username for each eligible Page you manage. To add a username to your Page:

• Click on About tab.
• Click Page Address.
• Enter a username and click Check Availability.
• If the username you want is available, click Confirm to save it.

If the username you want is already taken or not approved, you'll need to pick a different one.

10. What are the guidelines around creating a custom username for Page or timeline?

Here are a few things to remember when you create a custom username:

• You can't claim a username someone else is already using.
• Choose a username you'll be happy with for the long term. Usernames are not transferable and you can only change your username once.
• Usernames can only contain alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9) or a period (".").
• Periods (".") and capitalization don't count as a part of a username. For example, johnsmith55, John.Smith55 and john.smith.55 are all considered the same username.
• Usernames must be at least 5 characters long and can't contain generic terms.

11. How to change the username of Page?

You can only change your Page's username once. If the username you want isn't taken and you haven't changed your Page's username already, you may be able to change it. To change your Page's username:

• Click on About tab.
• Click Facebook web address.
• Enter the username you want for your Page and click Check Availability.
• If the username is available, click Confirm to save it.

If you've already changed the username for your Page, you won't be able to change it again.

12. How to choose who can post on your Page's timeline?

You can choose not to show posts by others on your Page's timeline until you review them, not to allow others to post on your Page at all and to turn off the Recent Posts by Others box on your Page's timeline. To turn off the ability for people to post on your Page's timeline:

• From the top of your Page, click Settings.
• Click Visitors Post.
• Select Disable posts by other people on the Page from the dropdown menu.
• Click Save Changes.

13. How to proactively moderate content posted on Page?

There are 2 tools available to Page admins for proactively moderating content on their Page.

(a) Page Moderation

You can add comma-separated keywords to the moderation blocklist in order to prevent them from appearing on your Page. When people include blacklisted keywords in a post or comment on your Page, the content will be automatically marked as spam. To add keywords to the blacklist:

• From the top of your Page, click Settings.
• Click Page Moderation.
• Type the words you want to block in the field, separated by commas.
• Click Save Changes.

(b) Profanity Filter

You can also proactively moderate posts on your Page by turning on the Profanity Filter, which will block the most commonly reported words and phrases marked as offensive by the broader community:

• From the top of your Page, click Settings.
• Click Profanity Filter.
• Select an option from the menu next to Profanity Filter: none, Medium or Strong.
• Click Save Changes.

14. How to enable photo tagging on Page?

To enable photo tagging for photos uploaded to your Page:

• At the top of your Page, click Settings.
• Click Tagging Ability.
• Check Allow others to tag photos and videos.
• Click Save Changes.

To tag yourself in a photo uploaded to your Page, make sure you’re logged in as yourself and not as your Page.

15. How to turn off the private message button for Facebook Page?

People can send your Page a private message using the Message button below your Page's cover photo. If you don't want to allow people to send your Page a private message, you can turn off this button for your Page:

• From the top of your Page, click Settings.
• Click Messages.
• Uncheck the box next to Allow people to contact my Page privately by showing the Message button.

16. How to turn off photo comments for Page?

Photo comments allow people to add photos in the comments section of your Page posts. To turn off photo comments for your Page:

• From the top of your Page, click Settings.
• Click Visitors Post and select Disable posts by other people on the Page.
• Click Save Changes.

17. How to add admins to a Facebook Page?

To add an admin to your Page, you have to be a manager-level admin. To add an admin:

• Click Settings at the top of your Page.
• Select Page Roles.
• Type the name and select them from the list that appears.
• Click Content Creator or any other role to select an admin role from the dropdown menu.
• Click Save and enter your password to confirm.

The new admin can accept or reject the admin invite in the top right of facebook.com/pages. Depending on their settings, they may also receive a notification to the right of their News Feed or an email.
