You all want to get more Likes on your Facebook posts, right? You’d be lying if you said no! A big part of the time we spend trying to find ways to get fans engaged & involved with our pages.
Well, the good thing is that we have a research that presents some statistics, which we all need to take note of. Keep two things in mind and you are almost done with it. The first thing is "what you post" and secondly "when you post".
Well, the good thing is that we have a research that presents some statistics, which we all need to take note of. Keep two things in mind and you are almost done with it. The first thing is "what you post" and secondly "when you post".
1. WHAT You Post
A post mainly includes some wordings or photos, according to the research we have some findings below:a) Photos Dominate:
According to reports, photos gets 53% more Likes & 104% more comments. This simply defines that a photo attracts more users than a simple text update.
Your photo should make people laugh, cry, or go “awww!”
Photos on Facebook have always gotten a slightly better visibility in the News Feed. But, don’t necessarily use an image on every single post; keep it interesting by mixing with links and videos updates. When you do share photos, make sure they look great and are eye-catching in a smaller version too.
b) Size Matters:
Posts with fewer characters get more engagement. Based on research, posts with 80 characters or less get 66% more Likes & comments than posts with 81 or more characters. It’s tempting to post a 1000 character long post, but the reality is most won’t read it — much less Like or comment on it. So, focus to keep it short & get to the point.
c) Ask More Questions:
Asking people questions outperforms all other types of text only updates. Posts with questions get 100% more comments than non-question posts! That’s a pretty compelling reason to post questions!
2. WHEN You Post
Time of the day & day of the week also makes significant increase or decrease in the user engagement, here are the finding of research:
a) Time of Day is Important:
There is no “magic” time of day to post to your page. It all depends on your audience & your testing. But, according to the research, the peak activity on Facebook comments & posts occurs between 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
b) The Day of the Week is Important:
In addition to knowing which time of day has the most activity on Facebook, you need to know what day of the week is most active. According to the research, Wednesdays are the most active, as defined by the number of posts & comments published per day.
c) Less is More:
Posting 5-6 times per day gets 40% more engagement over posting 10 or more times per day.
These were the findings which will surely increase Likes on your Facebook posts. Do you agree or disagree with their findings? Mention your responses below. Thanks :)
